Xfce 4.12
I set moving or resizing windows not to update the window (hide contents) - just to show outline of window.
Older version just showed outline.
New version turns the whole window light blue w/transparency as it moves...
I prefer the old way where only the outline moves not this new blue thing...old way seems easier on my old video card...
Is there a way in 4.12 to set it to the old way?
Thanks

I have 4.12 on both MX-14 (based on Debian Wheezy) and MX-15 pre-alpha (Jessie), and do not see that behavior. I just get the outline moving as it was in 4.10.
What distro are you using? And what theme?

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

A change was made at the beginning of this year to use cairo to draw the wireframe as opposed to the old method, only if the compositor is enabled. Disabling the compositor, brings back the old-style wire frame. This change was included in 4.11.3.

if you disabled composite then yes otherwise you will see a colored box, except if your wallpaper matches your window color then will you see nothing(eg a white box on a white wallpaper ;/)
anyway, I got the answer that the behavior won't change and a setting to set that color isn't wanted or planned.

"Disabling the compositor" - that did the trick. Thanks.
