Hi,
Long-term happy user here! I just got Xfce 4.12 through debian testing. Reading about improvements for multi monitor, I am wondering if moving windows to other displays has been improved.
I'm currently using the script based on xdotool that is described here: http://makandracards.com/makandra/12447 … ce-xubuntu
Anything better available now?
Cheers,
inde

Take a look at Display (xfce4-display-settings) now, it is vastly improved.
MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

I dug around in the display settings a bit, but I couldn't find anything related to moving apps around. I then went to Window Manager where you can set up the keys for tiling windows left/right, but I couldn't find anything related to moving to another monitor either. Many keys related to moving around workspaces however.
Am I missing anything?

Oh, I misunderstood what you were looking for, sorry.

I don't believe sshortcuts (or functionality) exist for moving windows to other monitors, so you'll probably still need to use your script.
It might also be a good idea to create an enhancement request in the bug tracker so that the developers are aware of it.
