maximized window and resize on drag to border

XFCE 4.10
on
Xubuntu 14.04

I like the feature that resitzes a windows to half the screen size if you drag it to one of the borders. It called "automatically tile windows when moving toward the sceen edge" in the setting editor.

But if I drag a maximized window it does not work. This is kind of annoying because I have to un-maximized first and that kind of kills the usefullness of this feature to be a fast way to resize.

Is there a way to fix this or is it fixed in newer versions of xfce?

Re: maximized window and resize on drag to border

There is a bug report for this, and an apparent patch submitted, but not yet included in Xfce. You may want to comment on that bug report to bring it back to attention.
