Hello,
I have XFCE 4.10 with Thunar 1.6.3, all downloaded as packages from the Arch Linux repository.
I want to use the "Detailed List" view at Thunar, but I am having this nuisance that I don't know if its a bug or not:
When viewing items in "Detailed List" view, I cannot mass select items by trying to draw a box with my mouse left click, when the place that i start clicking is simply white space below the files' list. The only way to mass select with my mouse, is to actually put the cursor above a file title and start to create the box from there. This makes the usage confusing, to me, since I am not really used in doing that. However, while viewing as "Icons" or "Compact List", the problem does not exist.
Is this expected behavior, or a bug?
If it is expected behavior, can we expect it to change, since it is kind of weird?
thanks
I accidentally posted this message at "Installation" instead of "Desktop". Should I post again, or will someone move it?

I am also running 4.10 and Thunar 1.6.3 and have noticed the same behavior when I try to do it with my cursor in the name column, as I normally do. I have found a workaround by enlarging the screen and doing the mass selecting out near the right margin. Not pretty. but it works for me.

meh, it is still annoying not being able to draw squares at your detailed list white space

So, is there anyone that has come up with a solution to that?
