Long time Linux user but new to XFCE. Came by it sort of by accident. I have a dual boot desktop (Mint 16, Debian Sid) and on Sid Cinnamon is broken. Next logical thing to try was XFCE. Had a go at MATE but it seemed to have difficulties. Now I just need to learn my way around. Luckily some of the keyboard shortcuts work and most of it is not that hard to figure out. Now if I could only create shortcuts in Thunar. And do a few other things.

Hi HankB.
XFCE is a good find and a good place to stay.
