call Thunar with custom xml?

In looking at a workaround for the missing split pane in Thunar, I find that I can get a good substitute in this way:

  • open two instances of Thunar

  • reduce side pane to a minimum

  • adjust size and location to suit

I know that the first step is easy in CLI:

thunar && thunar

But I would like to skip the side pane reduction (i.e., --last-separator-position=1), resizing and relocation by being able in invoke a custom thunar_double.xml file with the command.  If I can do that, then other options are opened.

Is that possible?  Nothing in the man file indicates that it is, but I though I would throw out the question anyway.  (Maybe --> Devs?)
