NetworkManager broken

hello,

Doing a personal server with Xubuntu I've uninstall Lightdm cause he was coming back after stop Xorg. But doing this I've lost some fonction (shutdown but that's good for a server, also mount) and connexion which the applet's functions is becomming grey. Network-manager still installed with files in /etc/NetworkManager, and I suppose it could be just permission(s) to give...
But I have no idea witch have to be corrected. Could someone help me ?
