Hi
Running Xfce on Fedora 20. All works fine but this.
I tried to play a commercial DVD. For this, I had installed livedvdcss, but Parole continues to complain it can't play it because it does not find his stuff.
What could I have done wrong ?
Thx

My buddy couldn't figure out how to play them on his laptop a few weeks ago. He was in a big hurry to get back to work (works out of town), so instead of trying to figure out what he was using and why it wasn't working, I just installed VLC, told him to run it and to press CTRL-d (IIRC). He later told me it worked great.
Not a direct solution - but it should allow you to watch your DVDs while you're searching for one. I don't think VLC depends on any codecs (but I might be mistaken).

If you run parole from a terminal window, do any error messages show up when you try to play one?

Good idea thanks. I'll try asap.

It does not display anything . And if I click on "open" I see the DVD with the title in Thunar. And from Thunar if I click on read"The Disk", it displays "gestreamer engine error".

Did you install the gstreamer plugins from RPMFusion? BTW if you got livedvdcss from ATrpms don't leave that repo enabled, it will conflict with RPMFusion.

Or course yes
here what I have
rpm -qa | grep gstreamer
gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free-1.2.3-1.fc20.i686

and
rpm -qa | grep libdvdcss
libdvdcss-1.2.13-1.fc20.remi.i686
But I guess Parole is searching his things at a wrong place ?

Here my list. And I have no need of x86_64 packages:
yum list installed | grep gstreamer
PackageKit-gstreamer-plugin.i686 0.8.16-1.fc20 @updates
gstreamer.i686 0.10.36-6.fc20 @anaconda
gstreamer-ffmpeg.i686 0.10.13-10.fc20 @rpmfusion-free

gstreamer-plugins-espeak.i686 0.4.0-2.fc19 @anaconda

gstreamer1-plugins-good.i686 1.2.3-1.fc20 @updates
gstreamer1-plugins-good-extras.i686 1.2.3-1.fc20 @updates
Do you really belive that I need something more to play a DVD ?

The arch is unimportant but I note you are missing the bad-free-extras, nonfree and freeworld. Without a detailed list of what each one contains it is difficult to say if they will fix your issue.
