Customizing xfce settings manager

I was just wondering is there a way to customize xfce settings manager! i mean any way we can add new items to it?
coz i found this file xfce4-settings.manager.menu! would editing it work?

Try changing the "Categories" line of the applications .desktop file (located in /usr/share/applications or ~/.local/share/applications) to include the items "Settings;X-XFCE-SettingsDialog;" and one of:
- X-XFCE-PersonalSettings
- X-XFCE-HardwareSettings
- X-XFCE-SystemSettings
- <blank> (don't enter one for it to show up in "Other")
