indicator-multiload is cut left and right

Hi all,
I'm installing indicator-multiload on XFCE4 (Arch Linux). Finally I got the installation to work.
indicator-multiload shows up in the notification area. Unfortunately, there are about 8 pixels cut away on both the left and the right side. Anybody knows how to configure XFCE to give this notification more space (or any other way to fix the problem)?
