default privileges of root user AND single-click for desktop launchers

I am trying to find the config file that would allow me to set the root login dialog box to not have the little box "Remember Password" checked by default for all users.  I have looked all around without success, and a web search has not been helpful.

Thanks.

Re: default privileges of root user AND single-click for desktop launchers

I might have found it: /etc/xdg/libfm/libfm.conf, which on my system starts out like this:

[config]
single_click=0
...

I am going to try that and, given that this question stirred up so much interest, report results back.

Re: default privileges of root user AND single-click for desktop launchers

Sorry, mixed up my two problems.  That last post was trying to get a single-click for desktop items, but it didn't appear to work even after changing that value to "1", rebooting and creating a new user.  Rats.

Re: default privileges of root user AND single-click for desktop launchers

To enable single-click for desktop items, go to "Settings Manager -> Desktop -> Icons tab -> Single click to activate items".

As for the "remember password" issue, I don't believe Xfce has such an app/funtion. It's probably something distro-specific involving gksu/gksudo or possibly the new pkexec functionality.

Thanks for the single-click solution.  I had looked at the mouse/touchpad settings, but didn't think to look at the icons one.
