I've tried this solution, but it didn't work: http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=2921
I'm using XFCE 4.10, with the new AV Linux 6.0.2 operating system. I have SCIM installed and in im-config it's set as the default input method. SCIM automatically loads on start up. The SCIM keyboard is displayed in the toolbar.
The main problem is that I can't switch my input language (I can't use SCIM). The SCIM tray icon does not show up in the desktop's taskbar although I've set it in the SCIM options.
How can I get SCIM working right in XFCE 4.10? I can't type in Korean until I can get it to work. Please help! Thanks.

Here's more info about the problem. When I load SCIM in daemon mode, I get this error:
scim -d
