Joined this forum to figure out how to get Thunar to display list view on my Fedora XFCE new install. After seeing similar topics, I found out that the menu bar can be activated by the Applications Menu -> Settings -> Settings Editor -> Thunar -> last-menubar-visible. To me this seems to be a very obscure place for this. Also, %^&*^%$%^ Fedora should not have turned this off to start with. I spent a half hour on this and wouldn't have discovered the answer without this forum. Thank you.

There is a mailing list for Fedora Xfce at https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce. You could suggest there that it not be turned off but would probably be too late for 20 even if they agreed to it.
As an aside I just checked and Korora 20 beta (a Fedora remix) has the menu bar turned on by default. Must be one the improvements added to it.

Thanks very much. I will look a Korora as a possible upgrade candidate.
