I wanted to create an account for the Xfce forums, but I nearly didn't just because the form asks me to run: date -u +%jXfce|sha256sum|sed 's/\W//g' in a terminal. It might be a cute way to make sure people are human, but you might consider changing the method to something that doesn't require people to execute a command on their system they don't understand. I have NO IDEA what date -u +%jXfce|sha256sum|sed 's/\W//g' does, why on earth would I want to execute it on my system? I'm a little irritated to be honest. And what did I do? I ran it, so I could come in here and post about what a bad idea I think it is.
