Couldn't find threads for these so here goes:
1)Can Xfce have feature like hot corners.. loved it in both Ubuntu vanilla/Elementary OS....
2) Loved the Time & date in middle of panel in both Debian Wheezy & Elementary OS..
Can that be made in Xfce panel??
If so how?
Thanks...

You can use the Separator panel applet to provide for spacing in order to place other panel applets where you want them. I do not remember exactly how to do it off the top of my head, but it was discussed in a recent thread. You might try using this website's search function to search for posts/threads which contain the term "Separator" to see if that brings up the relevant posts.

After moving the clock to the desired palce (in the panel) youhave to add a "separator" in both sides of the clock and set it to "expand"
Re Question 1, you need an external app to do it. Check brightside and skippy-xd
brightside is in the repositories http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/brightside
http://code.google.com/p/skippy-xd/

Thanx Darktux..
gonna give skippy a try... as for the debian package... i wouldn't even go near it..
Last month I had Debian Wheezy running on this system: 3 nights I tried to get all dependencies sorted for fglrx drivers for my ATI 6 series card..
that was enough...
Debian ain't for me i guess..
I like something out of the box..
Will remember the suggestion though..
BTW, Any such standalone s/w to get wobbly windows running??
PS: Just added skippy-xd from the repo, where does it show in applications menu?? onlu got it working thru terminal n Alt+F2....
& yes I got the brightside downloaded, as usual, have no clue how to make it work.. run the .config, make & makeinstall... nothing happens then.. Wonder what part of a simple thing I can't understand!!!
HELP!

<COUGH>Mint Xfce<COUGH> It's definitely one of those "Out of the Box Functionality" distros (even includes common codecs and the like by default unless one chooses to use the "no codecs" .ISO), boot live medium, install, boot, and go. As always, one might want to install a graphics driver (or at least a different one) depending on one's graphics hardware.

Wait... brightside is in Debian's repos - but you still have to compile it, lol? I have not, as of yet, compiled anything. Not because I am unable to learn (I hope that if I ever need to, I can learn how without much trouble) - but because, with Mint, I have not found any need to do so. Clem (et al) builds the distro - including a version that uses my favorite DE - in such a way that all I have to do is use it. Changes I make and things that I add (such as adding the Xfce 4.10 & 4.12 PPAs to my sources list) are because I want to (although those PPAs have added features and squashed bugs).
There are enough distros out there that if you find yourself thinking, "<Your current distro> aint for me I guess," then it's time to pick a different one. Mint works great for me - and I think it would serve you well, also - but it's up to you to decide which distro is the best for YOU. There's bound to be one out there that is.

Guys,
When it is in the Debian repos, you only neeed to install it.
You my use the command line (apt-get install brightside) or your usual package manager GUI.

Alt+F2 doesn't do the trick too...
MountainDM: I have compiled before btw, just dont wanns take that hassle if i can avoid it... dependency resolving is a big part , but u hav never done it so u hav no clue...

Hi bhatta,
Try ALT+F2 then "brightside-properties" (without quotes) to launch the Brightside configuration.
Also, add "brightside" (not "brightside-properties") to your Startup Applications (without quotes).
