Gvfs Backends

Hey Guys !!

Im having a problem with network in thunar my specs

thunar 1.6.2
xubuntu 12.04
gvfs-backends latest from ppa
xfce-4.12 upgraded from 4.10

It was working but somewhere along the line it fucked up ..I tried ppa-purging 4.12 and 4.10 ..  so its
back to the basic install but it still wont show any comupters on the network .I also tried removing gvfs and reinstalling then tried upgrading gvfs ,AND made sure firewall is off
If I do nmap I get over 20 computers on the network but when I click browse network in thunar it shows windows network with a blank icon

its wrecking my head !!!! I can figure it out

Re: Gvfs Backends

Hi darius,
With me usually works instaling 'gvfs-fuse' and 'gvfs-backends' packages.

Re: Gvfs Backends

Thanks Darktux

I found the problem
It was down to a firewall setting that was hidden that I setup A WHILE AGO to load on boot and evertime I flushed the tables and reoprned thunar or a terminal it set table back up and blocked smb form local network

thanks for your reply !!
