Greetings,
Please forgive me if my question is too newbie-ish. I wanted to try a XFCE 4.10 desktop for my Debian Squeeze (6.0) workstation, so I built it from source – which might mot have been the smartest thing to do. Now I'd like to cleanly uninstall it, but 1°) I have no "xfce4.uninstall" script, and 2°) I forgot to use "make uninstall" while building. Please I need some advice to proceed carefully without messing up anything. Thanks in advance !
Best regards,
MrSmith

Hello,
Running "make uninstall" in your source folder where you ran "make && make install" should remove everything. If you removed your source folder after building, just get the sources again, run autogen.sh with the exact same parameters as when you built and then run make uninstall.
Cheers,
Jérôme

Thank you so much ! Of course, I had removed the source after building, so I had to download it again, search my bash history for the configure parameters, then run "./configure && make uninstall" for each module, and that did an apparently clean job !
Best regards,
MrSmith
