Curious - window buttons to the center

Where are files stored which determine window button alignment? I don't know if this has been asked, but I am curious to see about moving the window buttons to the center.

Most likely, .theme files?
I don't see anything in here about center placement, though. It says "top right and top left" only.

Do you mean top-left-active.xpm and top-right-active.xpm? If so, there also seem to be title-1-active.xpm to title-5-active.xpm. Yes, they are designated "title," but I'd guess that this is not so restrictive as their name suggests. Try placing your window buttons at title-3-active.xpm (instead of at top-right-active.xpm). That'd be the middle of the title bar.

BtW, I'm just guessing after glancing at Figure 2 and the text above it, so this might not work.
