how to remove the xfce settings manager menu?

Hi, I'm running Archlinux with Compiz standalone and Xfce panel.  In my menu (Xfce menu) is a System Settings option which brings me to another System Settings graphical menu.  I'd like to get rid of this but I cant figure out how.  In my search for a solution this menu is also called Settings Manager.

Hopefully someone can help me get rid of this function

Re: how to remove the xfce settings manager menu?

I think you mean to edit the following:
/etc/xdg/menus/xfce-applications.menu

Before deleting any of the lines I would make a backup of the file, just in case.
Delete the Settings line that is

        <Menuname>Settings</Menuname>

Should be good to go from there.

BUT ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP !
