[Solved] Apache Open Office installation

What is the best way of installing Apache Open Office - I don't see it in the repositories and the official guide is fairly complex

Any thoughts any-one?

I do like Xbuntu - It runs well on an old Acer Aspire 2010 with 1.25 gb ram

Re: [Solved] Apache Open Office installation

Thanks for that link - I'll give it a try and report back

Does anyone know if Ubuntu are going to include Apache in their Software Repository ?

Re: [Solved] Apache Open Office installation

I was able to use the 3rd party repository route
After removing Libre Office I used the following 3 commands separately

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/office
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openoffice

This worked well and gave me Apache 3.40

Thank you for your help
