How to switch from xfce to virtual consoles?

Hi,

I can't switch from xfce to virtual consoles by using Alt+F1-F6 keyboard shortcuts.
I've followed this guide on how to install xfce: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xfce-config.xml. Ctrl+Alt+F1-F6 keys also don't work.
I've checked: App Menu: Settings: Keyboard: Keyboard shortcuts and I know that some Alt+F1-F6 combinations are mapped by default, but not all of them. Also, none of Ctrl+Alt+F1-F6 combinations are mapped.

I'm running xfce4-4.10 with some plugins.

Please tell me if I need to provide other info about my OS.

Re: How to switch from xfce to virtual consoles?

I hope you don't mind that I reply to myself.

The solution is that VMware Workstation catches the Alt+Ctrl key combination before that combination gets to xfce / xorg. I thought that this doesn't happen, because earlier, I've used 'showkey --keycodes' command and pressing Alt and Ctrl were visible as separate events.
To fix this, go to VMware: Edit: Preferences,

vmware
