I am asking this just out of curiosity.
How can I know that whether or not the compositing manager of xfwm4 is enabled in an installed distribution. Is there any command to query this from the terminal?
Also, is it possible to disable the compositing manager of xfwm4 which is built with "–enable-compositor" option in an installed distribution? (I just don't like compositing window managers.)

To check if compositing is enabled in xfwm4, you can run :
xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -p /general/use_compositing
Or in GUI : Settings > Windows Manager Tweaks > Compositor
Normally, you can Enable/disable it as you wish
Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...
