I'm interested in a fresh/clean install of xubuntu but I want the latest version of xfce 4.10. When will the xubuntu CD appear with version xfce 4.10?
In the mean time, is there a link to a page describing how to install the current xubuntu installation CD (12.04 with version 4.8) and replacing 4.8 with 4.10?

Probably best to ask the xubuntu team when they plan on packaging 4.10. According to here: https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/xfce-4.10, it won't happen until 12.10. In the meantime, I've built 4.10 using the instructions here (http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/building) and have it working with precise (12.04).

Thanks for clearing this up. I guess I'll wait.
I'm not ready to delve into compiling/building yet.

Guys
use this comand to install perfect on Xubuntu.
Any problems just need to go to Synaptic and fix, search by XFCE and mark all with XFCE 4.10
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xubuntu-dev/xfce-4.10 -y && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
