After Ubuntu switched to Gnome3, I tried Gnome2 first, then KDE but finally found everything that I want in XFCE. It's an absolutely perfect DE for a work (especially when you have two screens)

Me too, however, I use nautilus to manage my desktop, i.e., I use XFCE like a gnome 2
