That is not an Xfce problem, you just need a theme that provides both a gtk2 and gtk3 version.

Paste the gtk3 folder of your favourite gtk3 theme in your theme folder. Personally I have pasted the gtk3 folder of Zukitwo-Brave in Greybird folder, so my gtk2 applications use Greybird theme and gtk3 ones Zukitkwo-Brave theme.

Well..
There are very few consistent themes between gtk and gtk3.
But... Just a few days ago Peter de Ridder anounce gtk-xfce-engine 2.99.0, whith support to gtk3. http://mail.xfce.org/pipermail/xfce/201 … 29651.html
Personally I use oxygen-gtk (Yes.. is crazy. but like me!-) that is consistent between gtk2 and gtk3.
For better integration should compile from git (With OXYGEN_FORCE_KDE_ICONS_AND_FONTS = 0 To use the selected icons in xfce) and modify a single line of code. (So do not invert the order of the controls).
If you are interested I'll explain better..
Regards.

I also made a symlink to the gtk3 folder: ~/.config/gtk-3.0 -> /usr/share/themes/themename/gtk-3.0/
