Hi
I am a new member.
I have just installed xfce4-meta and several xfce-extra/xfce4 packages on a gentoo 64bit system. I use gdm and had expected to find xfce in the session box. I have re-booted but there is no sign of it.
Any suggestions.

I have just found that xfce should have produced a desktop configuration file in /usr/share/xsessions/ but it is not there. How can I persuade xfce to produce this?

I have managed to solve this by installing xfce4-meta on another gentoo system and then copying the desktop configuration file over to the system with the non working xfce. I had originally tried a re-install of xfce which did not throw up any errors it did not seem to know that this file was missing.
