Thunar Hangs

Hi everyone. I have a situation where when opening Thunar, after a fresh boot, Thunar hangs for a noticeable 15 to 25 seconds, detecting the local network. There is another Debian machine, and a FreeNAS server, on my local network. Thunar hangs, and is unresponsive for this short period of time, and then seems to give up on the network, and instead of having a network icon in the left pane, it leaves a blank space. If I use Nautilus or PCMan, I can connect to the network shares with no problems. I prefer PCMan with its tabbed windows.

Anyone know of any reason for this network hang time? Thanks
