[Solved] blacked out panel with the rest of the theme "normal" gray?

I'd like to blend my panel with the black borders of my monitor without using a dark theme. Is this possible?
I can change the panel color through panel preferences, but I'm using a task bar, so the buttons would still be gray.

There are a couple themes, notably Glow and Greybird that already have a dark panel, but are not dark themes. Does that help?
