Patch apply into thunar

Hello all,

I would apply this patch into thunar 1.2:
Ability_to_disable_trash_on_Thunar_1.2.0.patch
from this HP
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=28875

On which place or into which folder must be inserted the code into the sourcecode?

My System is Debian Sid with Kernel 2.6.37.2 with Xfce 4.8.
I would be very pleased about a helpful tip.

Thanks in advance

Clio

Re: Patch apply into thunar

We don't support that patch, because it's unwise to use. That said you can also learn to use Shift+del if you want to skip the trash and without gvfs installed, the trash is bypassed too.

Re: Patch apply into thunar

Hello Nick,

Del+Shift is known to me, and deinstall gvfs is not an option, because the automount and display of e.g USB-HDD into the Treepanel is impossible.
Perhaps the possibility of the choice is an option for the future, all other file managers can do this.
Thanks for your answer and regards

Re: Patch apply into thunar

Well like I said, we don't support bad behaviors like this; it makes it too easy to permanently remove files. And if you really want this you can also make a custom action that removes the file(s) and bind this to the delete key (if you have editable menu accelerators enabled in the Xfce appearance settings).
