4.4.2 --> 4.6.2 migration questions

Hi All,

On my Cent OS 5.5 host machine, I am running Xfce 4.4.2.  On my
Fedora Core 12 guest machine, I just group installed Xfce 4.6.2.
I also have a new customer wanting to convert from Windows to
Linux that I installed a proof of concept computer with FC12 and
Xfce 4.6.2.

Hmm, it is like someone broke into my house and rearranged
all the furniture.

A few questions on migrating (if RPM's ever come available for
Cent OS 5.x) and general configuration:

1) I presume the launcher panel is done.  I have about 60 items
added to pop ups in this panel.  If I loose them and have to start
over, it will really really hurt me.  Is there a way to migrate them
to the new start menu?

2) I can not drag an icon from the desktop to the task bar.  Is
this a bug or a feature or I just don't know how?

3) how do I customize what is in the start pop up?  I want
to know how to add folders and items.

4) I found how to add items to the autostart.  But, could
not figure out how to edit my boo-boos.  I had to erase
and redo  everything.  Is this a bug or a feature or I just
don't know how?

Also, just some questions in general.

a) under 4.4.2, Mousepad did not effectively remember
my recent documents.  Total pain in the neck.  Did this get fixed?

b) under 4.4.2, Thunar was always seizing up, especially when
dealing with large files.  I switch to Krusader out of desperation.
Has Thunar been fixed?

Many thanks,
-T
