Hi! I'm new in the forum and I'm italian, so sorry for my english.
My task bar is very slowly: when I unminimize an application, precedently minimized, I have to wait for 2 or 3 seconds. I think that this is too for a normal desktop environment... What can I do to optimize the rapidity of task bar?
I use xfce 4.6.1 on slackware 13.0 - 64 bits. Processor is dual core.
Thanks

I have no idea but I'm not sure it's an xfce4-panel issue. I'm running a much older rig and I find if I'm low on RAM, or the PC has been idle for too long and has too aggressively swapped memory to disk, unminimising can be slow.
The other possibility is it being an xserver issue. When an application is minimised, or shaded, the window pixmap data is flushed from the xserver's memory. When you unminimise, the window has to be redrawn. If there's a bottleneck, it's very likely there.
Perhaps try turning compositing on, or off and trying a different window manager, to see if you get the same results.
