Video tearing with NVIDIA

Hi.
I have Nvidia 7300GS card and I face video tearing. I have tried switching off inbuilt compositing of xfce but still the same. Enabling vsync in nvidia-settings didn't help either. This has happened in all the distribution I have used: arch, gentoo, slackware, etc.
Please help me figure ou this problem since I had to drop xfce which I liked a lot but can't use due to this problem.

Regards

Re: Video tearing with NVIDIA

If your having this problem in all distro's there probably isn't much we can do, you might try your distribution channel/forum for support and see if they have any ideas.

Re: Video tearing with NVIDIA

Ok thanks. Any idea though what might be the cause of this? My video card? It works great with everything else, gnome, kde, lxde, even the wms. Maybe I'll try using openbox or compiz instead within xfce and see what happens.
