Problems with XFCE 4 Interface Settings

Everytime I restart my computer the changes I have done in XFCE 4 Interface Settings are resetted. As soon as I start XFCE 4 Interface Settings the interface settings are updated and the changes I once made are applied again. Other things are also reactivated once I start XFCE 4 Interface Settings, like the Alt+F2 keystroke (as an example). - Why is this and what can I do about it?
Please help and Thanks in advance!

Re: Problems with XFCE 4 Interface Settings

The settings are kept track of and applied through a daemon that should be started with the session.
If it is not running already, initiating the setting dialogs will start it.
Sounds like you suppressed its automatic start in some way, e.g. in the sessions and startup section.

xfce 4.4: xfce4-settings-daemon
xfce 4.6: xfconfd

(if I remember correctly)
