Xfce 4.6 using old Xfce 4.4 configuration applets

I am (was) running Debian Lenny on a PowerPC (old Powermac G4) with Xfce 4.4.  I ran the graphical installer for 4.6 and everything seems to have installed smoothly.

Problem is that it used the configuration applets from Xfce 4.4 installed in /usr rather than the newer applets from 4.6 installed in /usr/local, which is odd because /usr/local/bin comes before /usr/bin in the PATH.

I opted for just removing the Xfce 4.4 packages.

Re: Xfce 4.6 using old Xfce 4.4 configuration applets

Greetings. I do not speak English well, so use a translator, but Tatar be as clear as possible.

Using Debian Xfce 4.6 and installed in / usr / local and there are applications that do not work for me, for example, Thunar does not select multiple folders on the desktop.

So How do I uninstall the version 4.4.2?

Did you use a package manager to install 4.4? Then use the same package manager to remove it.

Otherwise you'll have to identify the files by hand. Harder if 4.4 is also installed in /usr/local.  Using Unix find command to identify files by date helps.  Rename the files or delete them using "trash" rather than permanently deleting them in case you make mistakes.
