This strikes me as a silly thing to have to ask, but since I can't figure it out...
Is it possible to move a group of icons around on the desktop? I can select them, and I can drag them into a folder, but if I try to simply shift their location on the desktop, only one icon (the one I clicked for the drag action) actually gets moved.
I'm running XFCE 4.4.2 under Ubuntu Hardy.

AFAIK it is not. Same as choosing more files on desktop by drawing a square with clicked mouse (i don't know how to call it better).

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I'm getting a "nuisance" issue with the placement of some of my icons that fits perfectly with the title of this thread.
When I move an icon (ie. trash can) to the bottom of my screen and then log out, occasionally (maybe 1 in 5 times) it moves to the very top left of the screen when I log back in.
It's a bit of a nuisance since it shifts all my other icons down and then I need to rearrange all of them again. :-x
Any ideas?
Thanks
