I've got the latest xfce (just updated from 4.4.1 to 4.4.2) on an up-to-date Gentoo installation.
Ever since I upgraded to the 4.4 series, the tooltips on the panel don't work correctly (for the plugins). For instance, the netload tooltip shows all the correct info, it just doesn't update (meaning whatever data shows when the tooltip box first appears stays until I move the mouse a little, then it updates once and gets "stuck" again) and it covers the panel (like the old behavior) instead of floating above the panel.
I know what the behavior is supposed to be in the 4.4 series, because it works fine on another box I have.
I've tried upgrading gtk+ and the other direct deps, but I can't get it to work correctly.
Anybody know what I can do to fix it?

Hi

It's a bug that seems to be related to gtk+ 2.12 already reported on bugzilla:

Hey, thanks.
I find it interesting, though, that on one of my boxes it works, even with the same versions of xfce, gtk+ and panel plugins...
