folder/file launcher?

hello.
how do i create a link to a folder
or a file on an xfce panel?

(*complete newbie to linux & xfce)

If I understand what you want to accomplish is to display the contents of a file folder by left clicking on a panel icon, one way to do it is to right click on the panel and select "Add New Item".  Then select Launcher and Add.  Fill in the requested information for the name and the icon file that you desire.  In the 'Command' line type 'thunar /home/username/foldername' without the quotes and close the dialog.  Be sure to replace the pathname that I used with your own complete path to the folder that you want to display and leave a space between thunar and the pathname.  Good luck!
