Choppy Menus

For some reason, when I right-click to open my XFCE menu or click on the Menu button on my panel, the menus show up but they load all choppy.  It looks like the space where the menu should be is all static for a second, then it shows the menu normally.  Is there some way to fix this? :?

Re: Choppy Menus

The Xfce menu uses icon loading on demand, so the first time it delays the menu a bit (to speed up the plugin and desktop start). After the first time the icons are cached until the menu configuration changes (after an application is installed for example).
