Mailwatch Plugin on x86_64

I have decided to re-install XFCE from source using Xubuntu Feisty Fawn as a base. I uninstalled all Xfce components before compiling any of the new ones.

The basic installation of Xfce worked perfectly and all my favourite plugins also work, except the mailwatch plugin.

Using the Xubuntu deb, when I click the icon telling me I have new mail it opens the email program and instantly returns to the grey icon saying no new mail.

Now it waits until it checks (in 10 minutes time) to go back to the grey icon.

Is this an option in the source, a flag of some kind or a new "feature"?

It's not the worst problem I could end up with but it is annoying!  :-x

Xfce is v4.4.1 and Mailwatch is v1.0.1. I have recompiled the plugin several times with the same results.

Please help!

Re: Mailwatch Plugin on x86_64

I would like a fix for this problem, however I have solved the main issue. Gutsy Gibbon has a version the Mailwatch plugin which is a drop-in replacement for mine. It does change to read on click and otherwise works as advertised. So I'm happy but not satisfied! ;-)
