I'm a new user of xfce, and have been trying to make it look how I wanted. Nothing dramatic, but xfdesktop seemingly enough to make it go awry. I've changed the theme, font and icons around. Which worked fine for a while, but now whatever i choose i get the below message when running xfdesktop manually. (It fails at startup) So i'm left with a completely useable OS but with nothing on the desktop. Just the menu bar. Whatever theme i choose i get the same thing. But if I choose console for the font the Pango warning goes.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks
Nick
