(this time i will try it in the right forum ;D )
i didn't know that the GUIs like xfce use different gtk+ engines to render ,
how about the theme-compability from engine to engine ?
i want to create a theme for xcfe including one for xfwm4 and gtk+ ,
but so far i didn't find any reasonable howto for gtk-theming and at the moment even all ressources (including gtk+ themes) of xfce-look.org seem
to be wrongly linked to kde-apps :? , so i can't even see how you bind new pictures to the panel/widgets .
i also wonder if there is any possibility for installing a soundtheme in xfce4.4 .
greetings

1)the compability seems not too good , i tried several gtk+2 themes (on xfce-look.org) for xfce4.4 but they all look wierd and unfinished with other gtk-engines used.
(at least some styles work fine) .
2) finally the xorg-look.org homepage linking is working again
3) unfortunately there seems no way to implement it so far.
