Xfce on FC3

Hello, I am new to this forum and I have a problem that I hope Xfce can solve

I am having a P4 with 40 gb hdd and 128 Mb RD ram. I am using FC3 with KDE on it. But KDE eats up lot of memory and with few applications it really becomes to slow. I wanted to see if Xfce can be a good solution.

But I do not have a GTK 2.6 for graphical installation, I even do not know if Xfce will work on FC3 (i think it should)

What should I do.

Re: Xfce on FC3

FC3 has Gtk version 2.4.13, and you need 2.6.4 to install Xfce 4.4, so you can't. Beter update your distro first or try the latest fedora that ships with Xfce 4.4 (new distro does not mean it will run slower on your pc).
