Hi
I am a xubuntu user. I upgraded from 4.4 whose logout prompt gave me, among other things, the possibility to hibernate or suspend. Yesterday, I installed xfce4-4.4.1 thru its nice graphic installer. All dependencies were met, everything went OK, but one thing ....
The new logout prompt, which is triggered by /usr/bin/xfce4-session-logout does not offer me the possibility to hibernate or suspend.
I know that the hibernate script on my computer is /etc/acpi/hibernatebtn.sh
and that the suspend script is /etc/acpi/sleepbtn.sh. I made a small launcher out of them but this is not satisfactory.
I am a little disappointed and does know what to do. Is there a way to correct this. Thanks for any tip.

IIRC ubuntu patched xfce4-session.

Oh thanks.
So it's not a regression but I am missing something though..
Well, I will try to find this patch because I do not want to wait feisty + 1 to get it (that is october).
Will try my luck on a xubuntu forum. If by chance somebody knows the name of the logout file patched in Xubuntu let me know because I could maybe salvage it from a recovery file.
By the way, what means IIRC? Is this: if I recall correctly?

You can find the patch in the Ubuntu Pool: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/m … 4-session/
and yes, IIRC is If I {Recall,Remember} Correctly

Thanks for your help.
I got back this patched file, installed it and I have my hibernate and suspend again.
Very convenient. Suspiciously too easy, but this is the Xfce philosophy, afaik ^-^
