How to add a software to the desktop menu?

Hi,

I have recently installed xfce4 and I would like to make kbabel appear in the Development submenu inside the Desktop menu but I can't figure out how to do so. How can I do that?
I tried the XFCE4-MenuEditor but all the sub-menus used to launch programs do not appear there.

Sincerely,
Ran Rutenberg

Re: How to add a software to the desktop menu?

You need to create a .desktop file for kbabel or, if one exists, make sure that it is in a standard location.  Look at the "File Locations" section of this document http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/ for standard locations.  Use one of the existing .desktop files as a template if you're not familiar with the format.

BTW, install xfce-appfinder to easily search for an existing kbabel.desktop file.
