Hi all,
I have just installed XFCE 4.4 on OpenSuse 10.2.
All works fine apart from the fact that xfwm4 does not start automatically when I log in.
I have to open a terminal and type xfwm4, after which everything works properly.
Any ideas what might be going wrong or how I can fix it?
Many thanks
Tom
Start Xfce using Run Program (Alt + F2) -> xfwm4 and exit Xfce with saving you're session afterwards. If this doesn't work: run xfwm4 inside a terminal and see is there are some weird warnings/errors.

Hi - I solved this by adding xfwm4 into autostarted applications.
I think I have bigger issues though - when I initially did the installation using the GUI Installer, it failed half way through. So I decided instead to install the OpenSuse 10.2 rpms. Which seemed to work, but I now realise I have some missing components (I only have 12 options in the Settings Manager window, I believe I should have more than that...)
So I think I have a kind of half installed system!
Might uninstall and try again....
Thanks for your help though...
Tom

Any ideas why the plugins aren't showing up even though they are seemingly installed?
