The only repository (PACKMAN) that offers XFCE for openSUSE is still using the 4.2 release. Is there a way to upgrade 4.2 to 4.39 on openSUSE 10.2?

I don't know Suse, but if they don't have a testing/unstable repository you can download the source and build it yourself.

I found this post in another forum. I was able to install version 4.39 from this repository and after adding the development files to my installation, I was able to install binary plugins from the xfce goodies website.
