adesklets and composite under latest xfce svn

I notice with the latest xfce svn and with the compositor on, adesklets
no longer grabs the desktop image properly for its pseudo-transparency.
I just get a garbled or black background.   I have to switch the compositor off,
reload the desklets individually, then switch the compositor back on,
in order for them to display the proper backgrounds.

I am running xorg 7.1, nvidia binary drivers 8774 and the adesklets 0.6.1
with imlib2 1.2.1.009.
