[SOLVED] How to let apps open existing apps at existing workspace

How do I set it up such that, when an application opens another application that is already opened, it will my focus to the opened application's workspace, rather than bringing the opened application to my current workspace?

Example Scenario:

  • I have Discord open at Workspace 1

  • I have a browser open at Workspace 2

Existing Effect: When I click a hyperlink in Discord, the browser will be brought to Workspace 1, with the link open.

Intended Effect: I want to set it up such that, upon clicking the hyperlink in Discord, the focus is shifted to Workspace 2 (where the browser already is), with the hyperlink open.

(Setting not limited to Discord/Browser, but any app that opens any existing opened applications in general)

P.S Sorry if title/description is confusing, not so sure what you call this effect, but hopefully the example helps.

Assuming that you are using xfwm4 as your window manager, Settings Manager > Window Manager Tweaks > Focus > When a window raises itself. You want to set that to "Switch to window's workspace".
