In Thunar, I made a custom action to set root as owner of the files which I want them set to root owner; this is the custom action:
pkexec /usr/bin/chown root %f
If I made a file on Desktop and I run the custom action, works as expected (pkexec asks me to type the password); if I execute this custom action inside Thunar, nothing happens.
Why?
EDIT:
In the meantime I made a bash script which I added to sudoers file, and I prefix the script with sudo instead of pkexec, but remains the fact that pkexec won't execute inside Thunar, while on the Desktop is ok.

What version of thunar? It works for me with 4.20.
Also look at ~/.xsession-errors (if you have the file) and journalctl for any error messages when you try to run it with thunar.

Hi ToZ, I'm on Thunar 4.20.2.
However: I did a logout/login and now works as expected.
Thank you anyway for the attempt to help me.
