Focus follows mouse pointer over fullscreen xfreerdp

I have a strange problem when using fullscreen xfreerdp under Xfce. To switch to the host windows, I press right Ctrl, so it loses focus, then press Alt-Tab. However, if the mouse cursor is above the RDP window after Alt-Tab, Xfce switches back to it if I move the mouse. I am writing to the Xfce forum because it works correctly in Plasma, and also, if it were a common problem, it would have been reported already. Therefore, I think there is something wrong with my Xfce configuration. I have a "Click to Focus" set in the settings manager. I also experimented with "Activate focus stealing prevention". It had no effect.
